3. How We Collect Personal Information
We collect personal information directly from you when you submit your CV or apply for a vacancy, complete a contact or inquiry form on our website, correspond with us by email or telephone, or engage with us through social media. We may also receive your information from third parties such as referees, professional networks, or client organisations who engage us to source candidates on their behalf.
4. Why We Process Your Personal Information
We process your personal information for the following purposes: to evaluate your suitability for current or future vacancies; to match candidates with client opportunities; to communicate with you about your application or our services; to fulfil our contractual obligations to clients and candidates; to comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements; and to improve our website and services. We will not process your personal information for any purpose incompatible with the purpose for which it was collected without your consent.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal information on one or more of the following lawful grounds: your consent (which you may withdraw at any time); the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract; compliance with a legal obligation; and our legitimate interests in operating a recruitment business, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
6. Sharing Your Personal Information
We may share your personal information with: client organisations for the purpose of evaluating your candidacy for a specific role (only with your knowledge and, where required, your consent); service providers who assist us in operating our business (such as cloud storage, email, and website hosting providers) under appropriate data-processing agreements; professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants; and regulatory or law-enforcement authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
7. Cross-Border Transfers
Where we transfer personal information to a recipient in a country outside South Africa, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient is subject to a law, binding corporate rules, or a binding agreement that provides an adequate level of protection substantially similar to POPIA.
8. Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Candidate records are generally retained for a period of three years from the date of last contact, after which they are securely deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion of your information — see Section 10 below.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include access controls, encrypted communications, and regular security reviews. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Under POPIA you have the right to: request access to the personal information we hold about you; request correction or deletion of inaccurate or incomplete information; object to the processing of your personal information on reasonable grounds; withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. To exercise any of these rights, please contact our Information Officer at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with POPIA.
